February 26, 2013. LIVE from the QDF spring calendar launch @ Segal Center.



Recorded LIVE from the Quebec Drama Federation launch of the 2013 spring calendar event hosted by Warona Setshwaelo at the Segal Centre. The event was organized by QDF's Jane Needles executive director and Cassandra Rose director of communications with the assistance of the QDF staff and volunteers. Montreal's Main ARTery is also officially unveiled during the evening and features an ad on page 9 of the calendar. Listen to another segment of 'You be the Critic', maybe you'll hear yourself or someone you know give their reactions and comment on the productions that were presented for this season. Hopefully the feedback will put a 'spring' in your step and entice you to go see a show this season!

February 20, 2013. Quebec Drama Federation Spring Calendar launch @ Segal Studio.



The spring is sprung... Okay maybe that's premature wishful thinking, however the English language theatre community of Quebec is uniting to launch the Quebec Drama Federation (QDF) 2013 spring calendar on Monday, February 25 at 7pm at the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts, and everyone is invited and welcome to attend. Guest Cassandra Rose, communications director at QDF unveils details of this coming seasons launch.

Four short (aprox. 20 min. each) original plays (2 French, 2 English) with the theme 'love stinks' are selected as a compilation to be presented February 14 - 16. They are: "Carrelage" (UQAM) de Sophie Daunais, "If Phones Could Talk" (Concordia) by Alyssa Harms-Wiebe, "The Carrier Pigeon Play" (Concordia) by Julie Foster, and "Solstices" (St-Laurent CEGEP) de Laurie Murphy. This blogcast is the first bilingual English-French interview-coverage on Montreal's Main ARTery.
